How does Computer Genie Us works?
Simply click on the chat link, register your details and connect to one of our computer genies. You will be prompted to download a small virus-free plug-in called "ChatLink" (this is a java applet that requires no special software or hardware configuration). You will now be connected to one of our expert Genies, who can chat with you online to help resolve your problem.

How fast can you start fixing my computer problem?
We can securely connect to your computer within 30 seconds or less depending on your computer speed and broadband connection.

How much does it cost?
We charge £30 (including VAT) per 45 minute session. Your computer genie will be able to advise you if it will take longer to fix your problem. Normally as a rule, 85% of problems can be fixed within the first 45 minutes although it is also down to the client computer and the broadband speed connected to it.

What payment options do you accept?
We offer convenient payment options such as over-the-phone credit card transactions. We accept all major credit and debit cards.

How secure is the connection?
Our Remote Access Service uses 256-bit encryption and is as secure as online banking. With your permission, your expert Genie can share control of your mouse and keyboard through advanced screen sharing technology. You ALWAYS have overriding control of your own computer and you can end your session at any time.

Can I connect using a dial-up connection?
No. Unfortunately our service is optimised for broadband speeds only.

Can you offer training session as well as online repairs?
Yes. Our advanced screen sharing technology lets you watch and learn as our experts draw on your screen to help illustrate a concept, install programs and drivers, and push web pages to your browser.

Is this service exclusively for use in the UK?
No. We can trouble-shoot or walk you through computer challenges just like we are sitting right there with you, wherever you are in the world! Our customers are based all around the globe.

I have a business computer, can you still help me?
Yes. Our expert Genies are highly trained to solve most software problems whether it on a home or business computer.

What if you can't solve my problem remotely?
We can offer our on site computer service from our sister company, Dove Computer Solutions Ltd. We have Professional Qualified PC Engineers who can visit your place of work or home and fix the problem for you.

What are the opening times for this service?
We are open to accept calls Monday to Friday 08:30am to 18:30pm every week. In the future we will be taking on more trained Genies to expand these hours to weekends and evenings.
